Membership
We are so glad you are here!
When you are a member at Gloria Dei, the congregation makes a commitment to you and your life of faith and you make a commitment to the congregation. “Now you are the body of Christ,” the Apostle Paul says, “and individually members of it” (1 Corinthians 12:27). We believe what Paul says; membership is a way that we recognize who we are as individuals connected in community.
When you are ready for membership, you can let us know by completing an Intent to Join form.
Why Membership?
Get connected to what is happening at GDei by sharing your contact information with us. We regularly send out emails and notifications about important upcoming events and congregational happenings. This is the first step to Connecting.
Worship is at the center of our life together as a congregation, but there are other things that we do together, too! We encourage you to gather, grow, give, and go with us. There are things happening that can nourish and encourage you. There are ways that you can use your talents, skills, and resources to help others. Find out what those other things are on our Sign Ups & Happenings page, or contact us and someone will follow up with you to help you find your place here.
While you can participate fully at Gloria Dei without becoming a member, we think that it matters to have a church home. Steps to Membership?
Completing an Intent to Join (or having a Letter of Transfer sent from your current congregation) shares your desire to join in community at Gloria Dei. This step can be done before or after attending Membership Sessions.
New members will be formally received into the family of Gloria Dei during worship services the Wednesday and Weekend following the Membership Sessions.

There are some schedules where Membership Sessions or Welcome Worship just don’t work out and that is ok. Please contact Pr. Amy for a conversation about how membership can happen for you.
