For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son. When the Word becomes flesh, we get to see the love that God has for us. It is a light that shines in the darkness and promises never to be overcome. As the song says, “Love! Love! Born unto you a Savior! Love! Love! Glory to God on high.” We are Made For Love – given in Word made Flesh, a Son, born for you. Merry Christmas!

Peace. It seems impossible! But so does a lion lying down with a lamb and a shoot emerging from a dead stump. We are made for peace. How? John the Baptist points us to the Savior, aka Prince of Peace, by way of being repented of our sin and, repented, also forgiven. Peace via forgiveness. Life out of death.
