Hello Gloria Dei,
I’m excited to announce that this coming weekend we will launch fully into the “Deep in Faith & Wide in Outreach” Capital Campaign. Way back in 2011 Gloria Dei relocated and moved into the beautiful facility we now call home. The sanctuary, chapel, youth room, classrooms, quilting room, music space, office, kitchen, fellowship space, community garden, gym (and more) all serve as a base for ministry both within and outside the walls. We are blessed to have such a beautiful and functional campus from which to proclaim and live out the gospel of Jesus.
Back in 2011, the cost of the land and building was approximately $16 million. Through your continued generosity, this congregation has not only supported the vibrant and meaningful ministry that happens here, but also has reduced the debt to $1.5 million.
Within this new campaign we will eliminate the debt and, depending on the amount raised, look toward future expansion of our campus. God has blessed us with steady growth over these past fifteen plus years. It is an exciting time for Gloria Dei as we partner with God in growing the Kingdom. You will be hearing more this week in worship. Please pray for Gloria Dei and its mission.
I ask that you please consider the following:
First and foremost, as we launch this weekend, you will be invited to sign up for a visit. I encourage you to do so, as our goal is meet with all of you as families, couples, or individuals to go over the vision God has for us.
Secondly, we have many volunteers working on this campaign but need more. Please consider signing up to help with the campaign.
You will be hearing more this week in worship. Again, please pray for Gloria Dei and its mission. And of course, as I write, the fires continue to rage in California. Please lift up prayers for all affected, and for the firefighters.
