Hello Gloria Dei,
During this month of November, we continue with our Stewardship emphasis at Gloria Dei. Our theme comes from 1 Corinthians 12 and 13. “A More Excellent Way: The Way of Love.” Many of you have made pledges (Estimates of Giving) to our General Fund for 2026. These dollars support our full ministry, with an Annual Budget approaching $3 Million. If you haven’t had the chance to make an Estimate of Giving for 2026, I encourage you to do so, as this helps in our planning for next year.
In addition, during this Stewardship time, several of you have asked about our Capital Campaign and its progress. So today I’m including a Capital Campaign update from our Church Council Treasurer, Missy Radigan:
We continue to be very blessed with the financial support from our members, and we’re excited to begin planning for 2026 at Gloria Dei! We’d like to provide an update on the Capital Campaign that was launched earlier in 2025.
- Pledges for the 3-year campaign total $2,685,000
- Donations received as of the end of October are $1,222,000
- In line with our 1st priority, $850,000 has been applied to the mortgage loan balance. This, together with our monthly mortgage payments, brings the current balance down to $534,000
- We’re optimistic that the monthly mortgage payments in 2026 along with future principal payments based on pledge receipts will have us debt-free by the end of 2026.
- The second priority of setting aside funds for building improvements and longer-term maintenance projects to keep our facility in top condition will begin when the mortgage is paid.
