God Moments

In September I get to be a part of an exciting project. A group of 6-7 Pastors will be teaming up with the SURF (Sanford Underground Research Facility) program in Lead, SD. https://sanfordlab.org/ The SURF program is America’s Underground Lab which hosts world-leading experiments deep underground, seeking answers to some of the most profound mysteries of the universe. Together as Scientists and Theologians, we will explore how science and faith can enrich one another through site visits, presentations, and collaborative discussions. In other words, we will be talking about this beautiful and amazing world that God created. I am so excited to learn, have amazing faith filled conversations about how God is at work in the world, and then be able to share it with you all!

I love learning about how God is at work in the world in all different ways, from science to experiencing His presence in my everyday life. This summer I was with a group of kids and one of them said, “that would make a good sermon illustration.” I was so proud! They are watching for God moments in the world all around them.

God is loose in the world and all around us. In big and small ways. We have a big God who created the world and all that is in in but also continues to call every one of us, child of God. I challenge you this week to have your eyes open to the places you see God show up, a good sermon illustration. How have you encountered God this week?

In worship this week we are digging into Luke 12:13-21 and Colossians 3:1-11. We are being called to seek the things from above and not rely on earthly things to save us. Please read the texts and come ready to dig into the word.

God Bless and see you in worship!

Pastor Sarah
