An Important Notice from Church Council

Hello Gloria Dei,

Today I’m including a letter from our Church Council Vice President, Lee Glasoe. On behalf of the whole Council, Lee writes regarding the Executive Pastor position that has been vacant since Pastor Heidi Binstock accepted a call to serve at a church in Nebraska.

I want you to know that I, Pastor Tim, give my full endorsement of the Council’s recommendation and am excited about the future God has for us at Gloria Dei. Here is Lee’s letter.

Dear Members of Gloria Dei,

On behalf of the Church Council, which has served as the Call Committee for this process, I am pleased to share important news with you. After multiple interviews and prayerful conversations with Pastor Chris Zuraff, the Council has unanimously chosen to recommend him for the position of Executive Pastor at Gloria Dei.

Because Pastor Chris is already serving on staff, the Church Council chose to serve as the Call Committee for this process. Over the past several weeks, the Council met with him several times, carefully discerning his gifts, his vision for ministry, and his sense of calling to this expanded leadership role. We believe Pastor Chris possesses the pastoral heart and leadership skills needed to serve Gloria Dei faithfully in this position.

As the next step, a special congregational meeting will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. between the morning worship services. At this meeting, the congregation will hear more about the Council’s recommendation and then vote on extending the official call to Pastor Chris as Executive Pastor.

This is an important moment for Gloria Dei, and we encourage all members to attend and participate. Your prayerful presence will help us move forward together as a church seeking to follow where God leads.

Thank you for your continued support, and please keep both Gloria Dei and Pastor Chris in your prayers as we look ahead to October 12.

In Christ,

Lee Glasoe
Council Vice President, on behalf of the Church Council (Call Committee)
