Happy May Day everyone. Today I’m including an update from the Call Committee regarding the search for a new Senior Pastor.
Senior Pastor Search Update from the Call Committee:
We wanted to share a brief update on the search for our next Senior Pastor.
Following a recent meeting with the Church Council, the Search Committee has officially begun the process of identifying a successor to Pastor Tim. Our Ministry Site Profile, which provides an overview of our ministry, is complete and is being shared. We are working in partnership with the ELCA South Dakota Synod. We are encouraged by the level of interest so far.
As a first step, early candidates are submitting video responses to questions, allowing us to get to know them and their communication style. From there, we will identify individuals to move forward in the interview process.We invite you to help spread the word by sharing the opportunity with pastors you may know. Most importantly, we ask for your continued prayers. We trust God is guiding this process and will lead us to the right next Senior Pastor for our church.

I want to thank the committee for their good and important work. We will continue to update the congregation periodically as the process moves forward.
This weekend we continue in our “Characters of the Old Testament” preaching series. The focus will be on Esther and the way in which God used her in a powerful and meaningful way. If you can, I invite you to read all ten chapters of the biblical book of Esther. It is a wonderfully laid out story which ultimately lets us know that God’s goodness wins out over the ways of evil.
